Why is there such a range?
The cost of a dental case has four parts: materials, the dentist's time, the laboratory fee and equipment depreciation. The differences between lines come from the material — a crown pressed from titanium-backed ceramic and one pressed from Emax differ in translucency, in durability and in what they cost to buy. When somewhere quotes 40 to 50% below the market, that difference has to come out of one of those four, and it is usually the material.
Your final cost is fixed after an examination with X-rays, written into your treatment contract, and does not change while treatment is under way.
