I was treated at one clinic — can I claim at another?

Yes. Treatment records, X-rays and warranty cards are held on a shared system accessible at every clinic in the network. If you move house or change jobs, your warranty works exactly as before.

What if I have lost my warranty card?

You are still covered. The card is the fastest way to look your record up, not a condition of cover. The name and phone number you registered with are enough to find your file. That said, keeping the card number does shorten the process considerably.

Is there a fee for the examination or the materials under warranty?

No. Once a case is established as being within the warranty, everything is free — examination, X-rays, materials and labour. If the dentist determines the cause falls outside the warranty, the cost is quoted in writing beforehand and the work only proceeds with your agreement.

Why does the warranty require regular check-ups?

Because most dental failures develop silently and painlessly until it is late — decay under a crown and bone loss around an implant both behave that way. A six-monthly review is the only way to catch them while the fix is still simple. This condition exists for a clinical reason; it is not a clause designed to refuse claims.

Every case treated at Dental Việt Nam is issued a warranty card — digital or printed, with a unique identification code — stating the material used, the warranty period, the name of the treating dentist and the completion date. The warranty period follows the material you chose, not the amount you paid — the same ceramic carries the same period for every patient, at every clinic in the group.

These periods are the material manufacturer's commitment and are recorded on the warranty card for each case. Implant fixtures carry a lifetime warranty — the crown fitted on top takes the chewing load directly and has its own separate period, explained in the questions below.

Scope

What the warranty covers and what it does not

Both sides stated plainly up front, so there is nothing to argue about later.

Covered

A crown cracking, fracturing or debonding through material failure
A crown that cracks or fractures under normal chewing is remade free of charge, including the impressions and refitting.
Implant failure
A fixture that fails to integrate with the bone or is rejected is replaced free of charge once the bone has healed, using the same system as originally placed.
Open margins, high spots and bite errors from technique
Adjusted or remade free of charge. This is an execution fault and is not counted as normal wear.
A veneer debonding
Rebonded free of charge if the ceramic is intact; remade free of charge if it cracked through material failure.
Reviews and routine cleaning
Free every six months during the first year after treatment. Implant fixtures are also followed up every six months to check that the fixture has integrated with the bone and is not being rejected.
Aftercare guidance and support
Specific home-care instructions for each case, and fast 24/7 advice through our hotline for any problem after treatment.

Not covered

Damage from trauma or misuse
Impacts, accidents, and biting hard objects such as ice cubes, bottle caps or bones — the most common cause of fractures, and outside the scope of the warranty.
The consequences of long gaps between check-ups
Decay under a crown or peri-implantitis found late because scheduled reviews were not attended.
Long-term poor oral hygiene
Gum disease and bone loss from plaque accumulated over years — the material has not failed, the supporting tissue has.
Work altered elsewhere
Once a crown, fixture or appliance has been adjusted or removed at another practice, there is no longer any basis for establishing the cause of a failure.
Grinding without wearing the prescribed night guard
Cases where a night guard was prescribed and not used. Night-time grinding force far exceeds physiological chewing force, and no ceramic manufacturer warrants against it.

Warranty cases are prioritised for an appointment within 24 to 48 hours, at whichever clinic is most convenient for you — not necessarily the one that carried out the treatment.

The dentist establishes the cause
30 – 45 minutes
Examination, X-rays and a comparison against your original treatment record to determine whether the fault is in the material, in the technique, or falls outside the warranty. The conclusion is explained to you before anything else is done.

Resolution
Depends on the work
Within the warranty, the work is done entirely free of charge, with nothing added for materials. Outside it, you are quoted first and nothing proceeds until you agree.

Questions about the warranty

This is a translation. The Vietnamese version of this policy is the operative text and prevails if the two differ in meaning.

It is the manufacturer's commitment on the fixture: if it fractures or fails through a material defect, a replacement is supplied free of charge with no time limit. It needs to be distinguished clearly from the crown fitted on top, which takes the chewing load directly, has its own warranty period, and typically needs replacing after 10 to 15 years. The lifetime warranty also does not cover a fixture lost to peri-implantitis from poor hygiene or from years of missed reviews.
